Preparations for the European Week of Regions and Cities, which will take place from 11 to 14 October 2021 have already begun! During the four-day event, which takes place every year in Brussels, views are exchanged and participants in the field of regional policy are networked. Co-organizers are the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions.

The idea of ​​the "15-minute city" first appeared and was developed in 2019 by Carlos Moreno, professor at the Sorbonne and smart-city scientific advisor to the Mayor of Paris.
