The first fully virtual European Week of Regions and Cities, the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy.

Contribute to the debate on the future of Europe and find out more about how to bring citizens, cities and regions closer together.

The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.

The event has grown to become a unique communication and networking event, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including their political representatives, officials and academics.

Τhe Week of Regions and Cities will provide concrete tools and methods for city representatives on how to:

  • analyze problems

  • plan actions

  • find resources

  • implement actions and measure results

  • manage authorities and relevant stakeholders involved in the design and implementation of urban strategies

In 2019, the event reached a record high of more than 9000 participants and more than 330 sessions, which shows the event's relevance and potential as a platform for political communication in relation to the development of EU cohesion policy, raising the awareness of decision-makers about the fact that regions and cities matter in EU policy-makin.
