19th European Week of Regions and Cities
Registration to #EURegionsWeek 2021 is now open!
The 19th edition of EURegionsWeek ‘Together for Recovery’ is ready to take off virtually, with its 300 sessions.
The European Week of Regions and Cities is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. It also contributes to the ongoing debate on democracy and citizens' engagement for the future of Europe.
As an unprecedented citizens-focused, bottom-up exercise, the Conference aims at giving Europeans a greater say on what they expect from the European Union.
The 19th edition of EURegionsWeek ‘Together for Recovery’ is ready to take off virtually, with its 300 sessions dedicated to:
· Cohesion: from emergency to resilience
· Green transition: for a sustainable and green recovery
· Digital transition for people
· Citizens’ engagement for an inclusive, participative and fair recovery.
EURegionsWeek has a special role to play in today’s biggest challenges. Not only is it well placed to make the voice of citizens and local communities be heard at EU level, but it has a lot to share in terms of innovative and vibrant ideas: green and digital transitions, stronger and more resilient economy, social fairness and inclusion, health, youth, culture and education, authentic and meaningful participation of citizens.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and taking into account the related health and safety restrictions (social distancing) the 2021 #EURegionsWeek will take place in a digital format.
Registration is easy through the event website.
